Dinosaur, part 1

The cactus went over well, so I decided to make something much larger scale. It was originally going to just be some creature, but after I made the torso and legs, it was clearly a T-Rex.

I started with the chicken wire. Bending and stitching and getting little tiny cuts all over my hands.

He was so large, in fact, that he needed a skeleton. Note to self: next time, build skeleton first, THEN add chicken wire. Thank goodness for GR who helped my get the frame inside the dino without destroying him!

Again, I had to cover the chicken wire so there would be a skin for the papier mache to grip to. This time I enlisted a little help from KG and we completely covered it with butcher paper.

End Part 1.
