Quilted Coasters

I was flipping through a quilting magazine while waiting for one of my classes to arrive a couple of weeks ago and found some inspiration:

It's not often that I make something exactly how I find it, but this was cute and simple and I needed a gift idea for someone.

The longest part of the project was cutting out all the little bird pieces. Thank goodness for fusible web when it came time to stitch everything together- that stuff is amazing!

 It took something around an hour to complete all four. I ended up not giving them as a gift for the occasion I had in mind, but they'll come in handy for another!
